Mr. Braddock is one of the most dynamic attorneys in the legal services industry. He is an experienced advocate who zealously represents his clients best interests throughout the complicated and difficult processes of negotiating, settling, and litigating cases against major pharmaceutical manufacturers. At present, Braddock Law Firm is engaged in litigation involving the following drugs and their manufacturers: Pradaxa, Taxotere, Xarelto, and Zofran.
Drug and medical device manufacturers, pharmacists, and doctors have a responsibility to ensure that the drugs and treatments they prescribe for patients do not cause harm. Some drugs and medical devices have dangerous side effects or have the potential to cause long-term damage. These drugs and devices are often the subjects of later recalls. While the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plays a regulatory role in determining drug safety, the manufacturer is ultimately liable. In some cases, a drug or medical device that is normally safe may be an inappropriate choice — perhaps because of a patient allergy, condition, or due to a possible reaction with another drug the patient is taking. When a doctor or pharmacist gives an incorrect prescription or prescribes an inappropriate drug, serious harm may befall the patient. In such cases, the doctor or pharmacist may be legally liable for the patient’s injuries. To learn more about pharmaceutical law, please contact us today.
Pradaxa was created by a German drug company Boehringer Ingelheim and was approved by the FDA in 2010 as a blood thinner. As a blood thinner Pradaxa was created to prevent blood clots in arteries, this way it was harder to have a stroke.
Doctors preferred to use Pradaxa because it was easier on everyone. The dosing was much easier, it doesn’t need to be monitored as much, and it was much better at preventing blood clots compared to its competitor Coumadin.
It could also cause your body to bruise easily, stomach pains, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, skin rash, or itching.

Medtronic was created in the US in 1949, but was primarily known for a medical equipment repair shop by Earl Bakken and his brother, Palmer Hermundslie. They created a wearable cardiac pacemaker that ran solely off of batteries. Soon they began to create and sell pain pumps to patients to treat chronic pain.
These pain pumps were targeting the pain and delivering correct doses to patients directly to the fluid around the spinal cord. The SynchroMedII drug pump system is used to treat patients who have been diagnosed with:

IVC Filters were created to prevent pulmonary embolisms, or a blockage in the arteries coming from somewhere else in the body, caused primarily by deep vein thrombosis.
It was typically used on patients who cannot take blood-thinning medication, such as heparin or warfarin, and patients who
recently had surgery, including cancer patients. The filter would work to prevent clots from traveling to the heart or lungs in hopes of preventing serious damage to the body.
The filter could migrate in different directions in your body due to lack of restraint, causing internal bleeding which could lead to damage or could even be fatal. The device could also fracture, which would lead to open heart surgery or open abdominal procedures. Perforated filters could cause:
